Computer = Hardware + Software

Hardware - All the physical components used to make a computer.

External Hardware - All visible computer accessories connected with CPU. Example- Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse etc.

Internal Hardware - All computer parts fitted inside CPU which are not visible. Example - RAM, Motherboard, Hard disk, Processor, etc.

Software - Set of programs used to run the Hardware and to work on Computer.

System Software - Used by Computer to run its Hardware. Example- Operating System( Windows XP, Win 7) , Device Drivers( Sound, Graphics, Network).

Application Software - Used by User to operate Computer. Example - MS Office , Tally, Coral ,Photoshop, VLC Player etc.

Programming Software - Used to create new application software. Example - C-Language , C++ , Visual Basics etc
